The school Sosekido (素石堂) was formed by my sensei, Unkotsu Komine (小峰雲骨) many years ago. I was 13 years old when I first met him, and it was the beginning of my long-time calligraphy path.
On the 31st of January, World Money Fair 2020 was held at Estrel Hotel Berlin. This year the Japan Mint was the host and I was invited to be a part of the event. I never knew such an event existed and this is one of the biggest event for the coin collecters in the world.
It was a three-day event from the 31st of January until the 2nd of February. I have taken part on the first day and did performances and workshops. Lots of audience with good vibes and curiosities. Before we announced the workshop, there were already first participants getting the seats. It was very nice.
One of the words from the performance. “縁” (a chance to encounter someone). I had chosen this word because it was just a 縁 to meet all the people who were happen to be there at that moment. Also the sound 縁 (en) is the same sound as yen. I thought it was the perfect word.
Thank you to all who stopped by to see me. Hope to see you again.
