Mochitsuki Taikai in Madrid

There will be “Mochitsuki Taikai” held this Sunday, the 17th of January 2010 in a suburb of Madrid.

Mochi is made of rice after being beaten up hundreds times with a wooden mallet and becomes paste.

You can eat salty with soy sauce or with sweet bean paste. This is one of the typical food for new year

in Japan. I like it with soy sauce wrapped with seeweed, hmmm.

There will be as many Spanish visitors as Japanese. So if you like to spend a bit different Sunday,

come and experiment a new taste.

Some of my works will be exhibited, too.
