Hoy vamos a aprender a sujetar el pincel correctamente y adoptar una buena pose, ya que ello es fundamental para una buena escritura.

Cuando vayas a escribir un carácter (puede ser una serie de ellos si son pequeños), es muy importante calcular la cantidad de tinta que tiene el pincel porque no se lo puede volver a mojar hasta no haberlo terminado de escribir.

Es fundamental que la tinta sea suficiente pero también que no gotee, porque sino los caracteres salen borrosos y no quedan bien. La cantidad debe ser la justa, pero, ¿cómo lo hacemos?

El suzuri (nombre japonés, en chino es: 砚台 yàntái ) tiene dos partes, la honda y la plana en la parte superior. Cuando pones tinta debes tener cuidado en mantener la parte plana seca porque ahí es donde vas a dejar el exceso de tinta.

En el vídeo se puede ver todo el proceso, cómo se moja el pincel y luego se seca tanto en la parte plana como con el borde del suzuri.

Una vez que no gotee nada el pincel está a punto y puedes ponerte a escribir.

Today we are going to learn how to hold the brush correctly to keep the right posture which is fundamental for beautiful writing.

When you write a character (o some phrase when the letters are connected), it’s very important measure the quantity of the ink on your brush because you cannot add the ink while you are writing the character or a series of letters.

It’s very important that the brush soaks enough ink but not too much. If it has too much ink, the letters will get blotted and will look awful. The quantity has to be right amount. But How can you do it?

Suzuri (in Japanese, 砚台 yàntái in Chinese) has two parts, the hill and the sea which is lower part. When you put the ink at the beginning, be assure that you keep the hill part dry because that is where you get rid of the excess ink.

In the video, you can see all the process: the way to dip the brush in the ink and then to squeeze out the excess ink using the hill part as well as the border of suzuri.

When no ink is dripping from the brush, now you are ready to write.
