Sosekido

The school Sosekido (素石堂) was formed by my sensei, Unkotsu Komine (小峰雲骨) many years ago. I was 13 years old when I first met him, and it was the beginning of my long-time calligraphy path.

Berlin Meets Tokyo Opening Night

Last Friday, on the 7th of March was the opening night for Berlin Meets Tokyo. It was held at Gutshaus in Stegliz in Berlin. Although the location was a little far from the centre, there were many people came for the event. Many Japanese people I hadn’t seen since I came back from Japan last July.

I was just so happy to see my students were happy and proud. It’d been tough months for them to keep motivation and concentration to make one piece that made them satisfied. At the end, we all achieved their best. Good thing is they are already looking for another project to focus on. I need to search some galleries then.

There were 50 artists for the event and the works were diverse from traditional flower arrangement to contemporary art.

There were two Japanese artist invited from Japan. I didn’t get to talk to them though.

This is Ms.Schmidt, one of the main organisers from Deutsch-Japanische Gesellshaft and who takes care of me in German mother way. She speaks fluent Japanese with Berlin accent (according to her).

Congratulation to my students and thank to  Deutsch-Japanische Gesellshaft who gave us chance to present our works.
